Here are a few examples of how Ive helped organizations achieve
their objectives... while maintaining cohesion and order. For client

Rescuing an Election
An association told me they did not need help with their election process;
it was all handled by a voting machine. The night before the elections,
we had a rehearsal and the machine didn't work. The association
didn't have an alternate plan. By 8:00 the next morning I had provided
them with an election process, trained the tellers, and was set to work
with them as they counted the ballots. They've never gone back to the
machine.
Clarifying Choices
An association wanted to give its members the opportunity to vote for
a name change. Because there were several choices and possibilities,
I scripted text for the president to use, and created PowerPoint slides
to make it easier for the members to stay on track. The process went
smoothly, with no confusion or lost time.
Dotting the is and Crossing
the ts
A board of directors decided to make several changes to their bylaws.
I drafted the language and helped them through the adoption process.
Following the meeting, I drafted the approved changes to the subordinate
policy documents. The board kept moving forward, and the document work
was accurately completed without taking staff or board time.
I want to thank you for all of the work you have done for
us and all of the great ideas that you have helped us to implement.
Our policy sessions and elections seem to go better each year.
We have received many compliments about the manner in which
this year's business session was conducted and the format in which the
issues were presented and addressed. These many compliments and comments
reflect the professional work, experience, and exceptional detail that
you put forth in helping us to plan and carry out our business meeting
process.
Your assistance with our bylaws revision was quite valuable.
I'm sure one reason why we got a positive vote in Los Angeles was because
we had things 'in order' which helped a lot!
Your guidance prepared us for the council meeting and played
an important part in the end result unanimous approval of the
amended bylaws revision.
Thank you for helping to keep the discussion open, flowing,
and fair.
